Fast FISH Technology

Basic Concepts
Basic Concepts Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) is a molecular genetic technique. Fluorescently labeled DNA probes specifically bind to target nucleic acids in tissues and cells via base complementary pairing. Signals are detected under a fluorescence microscope to identify chromosomal and genetic abnormalities in cellular and tissue samples.
Technical Principle
Fast FISH, independently developed by Kanlume, utilizes proprietary technology and an optimized hybridization workflow, combined with non-repetitive sequence probe design. Non-repetitive probes eliminate non-specific signals caused by abundant repetitive sequences in chromosomes, delivering clear signals, precise localization, and low background.

Automated FISH Processing Devices

FISH is the gold standard for gene amplification and fusion detection. However, its clinical application remains limited due to complex workflows and long turnaround times. Testing FFPE specimens via manual dewaxing, digestion, and permeabilization is labor-intensive, hindering implementation, standardization, and QC.
Our fast FISH technology delivers comparable or superior results vs. conventional FISH, fully replacing imported reagents and instruments. With innovative automated pretreatment, fully automated FISH processing, rapid probe chemistry, and optimized workflows, it enables same-day FISH testing.
