Overview
D7S486/CEP7 probe is used to identify abnormalities in chromosome 7 within patients suspected of having Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) or Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). It is designed to distinguish between a complete loss of the chromosome (Monosomy 7) and a partial deletion of the long arm (7q-).
