D13S319 gene locus (13q14.2) labeled as orange, with a length of 160 kb; 13q34 gene locus labeled as green, with a length of 590 kb.
Overview
13q14 probe is used to detect deletions in the long arm of chromosome 13. This region is highly significant in hematological oncology, as deletions here are the most frequent genetic aberrations in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and are also common in Multiple Myeloma (MM).
