Overview
CBFB gene break apart probe is used to detect rearrangements of the CBFB gene at chromosome 16q22. This probe is a critical diagnostic tool for Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), specifically for identifying the inv(16)(p13.1q22) or t(16;16)(p13.1;q22) aberrations that result in the CBFB-MYH11 fusion.
