Overview
1p/19q deletion probe is used to detect the co-deletion of the short arm of chromosome 1 (1p) and the long arm of chromosome 19 (19q), hallmark in the diagnostic of oligodendrogliomas and is associated with a more favorable prognosis and better response to chemotherapy and radiation.
