Overview
EWSR1 gene break apart probe is designed to detect rearrangements of the EWSR1 (Ewing Sarcoma Breakpoint Region 1) gene at chromosome 22q12.2. This probe is a diagnostic "gold standard" for identifying Ewing sarcoma, but it is also used to diagnose a wide variety of other "Ewing-like" small blue round cell tumors and soft tissue sarcomas.
