Overview
TFE3 gene amplification probe is used to detect copy number increases or rearrangements of the TFE3 gene located on chromosome Xp11.23. Whilst TFE3 is most frequently analyzed for translocations, detecting amplification is a critical diagnostic step for identifying specific aggressive subtypes of kidney cancer and soft tissue sarcomas.
