IVD - FP074 USP6(17p13) Gene Break Apart Probe Detection Kit
Cat.# FP-074: TUSP6(17p13) Gene Break Apart Probe Detection Kit (IVD)
[Overview]
USP6 (Ubiquitin Specific Peptidase 6) belongs to a large subfamily of deubiquitinating enzymes involved in a variety of cellular processes, including intracellular trafficking, protein turnover, inflammatory signaling, and cell transformation. USP6 is located on chromosome 17p13 and is primarily expressed in testicular tissue. Interestingly, USP6 is a hominoid-specific gene that was formed as result of a recent evolutionary fusion of the ancestor genes TBC1D3 (located on chromosome 17q12) to USP32 (located on chromosome 17q23). USP6 FISH is a useful test in cases where nodular fasciitis is a potential diagnostic consideration and in histological mimics.
