[Overview]

In-situ hybridization staining solution or 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) is commonly used in fluorescence microscopy due to its ease of use and bright blue color. Utilizing DAPI-stained cells in fluorescence microscopy enabling to visualize the nucleus. DAPI visualizes nuclear DNA in both living and fixed cells and is used to determine the number of nuclei and to assess gross cell morphology.
